About Me

My Name is Daniel Driver.

I am  mechanical engineer who focuses in computational modeling by trade, but am afflicted by an insatiable need to learn about the world around me.  I had started on a series about life as an Urban EV enthusiast, but the pandemic and life got in the way and after a move to NYC I sold my car. The learning didn’t stop though and I am excited to get back to sharing about my projects and maybe some updated thoughts on EVs (Hint…still an enthusiast and just bought a new EV)! You can find some of my code at https://github.com/dan-driver.

I graduated from UC Berkeley with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Computational Engineering for Design and Manufacturing. I was a member of the Computational Material Research Lab(CMRL) advised by Prof. Tarek Zohdi.
